Kiki is... really outgoing and makes friends easily because of her warm-hearted nature...she loves to talk and genuinely LOVES meeting new people and getting to know them...sees most everyone as a potential friend. Known for being non-judgmental and kind towards anyone she may cross paths with. For the most part, Kiki doesnt particularly care for being alone...feelings of isolation and loneliness usually don't sit well with her...although even she's had her times where she just needs...her own space...as everyone does. She's really soft-hearted....compassionate and sensitive to other people....she hates seeing people sad or hurt so when she does, you can bet she'll find some way to help them or at least try and cheer them up a little. Kiki herself is sensitive, and although not terribly easily upset...she does get hurt somewhat easily. Even when seriously hurt though...she won't hold anger or grudges towards whoever it was who offended her...and this can be both a good and a bad thing. Like..for example, her constant willingness to forgive was what made possible her friendship with one of her best friends who originally had a significant dislike of her. On the flip side though...it can mean opening herself up to being hurt..for example...as in her 'relationship' with her father Giancarlo. Almost always the cheerful optimist, Kiki always sees the bright side of life...and looks for good in the world rather than bad. She's one of those perpetually sweet and cheerful people with almost Disney-esque beliefs...like..she believes that everyone has some good inside, things will always turn out right no matter what...and oh true love...she's really big on that too..she thinks love is the sweetest thing ever. She can be adventurous as well..and is a natural leader..she likes being able to lead and to express herself and so she has a natural love, and talent, for the performing arts. She's naturally loyal and very devoted to those she loves and cares about...like...she's the type who would do absolutely anything for those she loves..and even those she doesnt know well. She's the type of friend who would listen to you no matter what, even if you called her at like..3 in the morning...she wouldn't get mad..all her concern would be on whether or not you were okay and how she could help. Personality: Brooklyn is headstrong, independent, determined, and very much a free-spirit. She’s the type who..makes her own way in life; doesn’t lead, doesn’t follow, just sets her own course and her own path...even if that means breaking the rules every now and again. She’s got a definite rebellious streak and is exceptionally stubborn...one of those you could never hope to control, she doesn’t take orders from anyone, not her family, not her teachers, not the people at her high school, nobody..so as you can imagine...she can be a major..discipline problem...especially at school. Brooklyn hates school...absolutely detests it..which is one of the reasons she almost never bothers going. A lifetime of living in what could easily be called a major criminal neighborhood has given her exceptional street smarts...but when it comes to academics...her performance is..extremely poor, to say the least. Her current grade point average of 2.1 is a perfect testament to that...and the fact is, Brooklyn fails most of her classes. Largely because she’s never there and doesn’t bother doing any of the work or preparing for tests...and partly because..she just doesn’t see the point..at all. She doesn’t kid herself...Brooklyn knows good and well she’s an academic failure, and knows by this point...no college is going to accept her with grades like what she’s got. And even if by some miracle she ever did make it into college...she’d never have the money to pay..which even if she did, she’d bomb out so fast it wouldn’t even be worth it. Despite her mother’s constant badgering about Brook needing to GO TO SCHOOL BECAUSE THAT’S THE ONLY WAY SHE’LL MAKE IT ANYWHERE, she doesn’t listen at all...because to her, school is a pointless endeavor, and she’s quick to remind her mother that school didn’t get her out of a life of poverty and...prostitution...and it won’t make any more difference for her. School is the bane of Brooklyn’s existence anyway..and not just in the academic regards. Where she comes from, particularly in her neighborhood and school, racial boundaries are...quite strongly defined; the blacks hang together, the Puerto Ricans keep to their groups, and the exceptionally few whites in the area all keep around one another for the most part. And Brooklyn had the blessing (or curse, as she calls it)...of not just being a mix of all three..but of looking like a mix of all three...an ethnic mutt...and this has of course earned her more than her fair share of (mainly negative) attention, especially at school. She’s never really...fit for certain into one group or the other...doesn’t speak Spanish well enough for the latinos, acts too “uppity” and “white” for the blacks...so she’s always...you could say..stood out. She’s heard every racist insult and slur under the sun...and while it no longer honestly bothers her to hear things like that (the dreaded “N” word even finds its way into her own speech)....it should be known..that she doesn’t take shit from anybody. Brooklyn is known around her school...really from elementary school onward...for getting into fights. Her first was in the third grade when another girl decided to call her..a name...and when she didn’t heed Brooklyn’s warning to shut up...Brook laid her out like nobody’s business...beat her into the ground without the slightest hint of remorse...making it very clear to the other kid spectators that she’d dish that out to them too in a heartbeat if she saw fit to do so. Of course, Brooklyn got in trouble, her first of many suspensions...not that she gave an honest shit...it didn’t stop her from getting into fights all throughout the rest of her school years...so many that even she’s long since lost count. And while her schools...have not exactly been the safest of places for a kid to be growing up...for what it’s worth...being there..being in the dangerous neighborhood she’s always known as home...has made her a stronger person. Some might come out of that broken....Brooklyn came out of it with a thicker skin and a damn near unbreakable spirit...she’s not afraid at all to confront someone who decides to talk shit or challenge her...she’s not the type to back down from a fight at all. Of course...she’s had her share of wins and losses...there’ve been times when she’s kicked asses four at a time, and there’ve been times when she’s gotten her own ass handed to her....once being shot and beaten to within an inch of her life. She had it coming to her though that time...AND at any rate, as soon as she was out of the hospital, she was back to her old self again..life in the ghetto as usual...things go on. If there’s one thing Brooklyn’s never done...it’s feel sorry for herself. She could count on one hand the times she’s cried, and all of that was when she was a real little kid. She doesn’t believe in sitting around moping and crying and feeling sorry for oneself...and she certainly has no pity whatsoever for other people’s pain and problems. Brooklyn’s the type who’d tell a crying person to shut the fuck up and get over it...doesn’t matter to her whether they’ve lost someone or gone through a serious breakup, she’d have no pity for them. She’s known for her..blunt and brutal honesty and the fact that she doesn’t sugarcoat anything for anyone...she’ll call something like it is regardless of whether or not it might hurt someone’s feelings. Brooklyn...can, and has been known to, verbally shred someone to pieces without a second thought...she’ll put someone in their place without a second thought if she sees fit to do so...and won’t feel the slightest hint of remorse should that person get upset or cry or whatnot. She doesn’t care about other people’s feelings...and she doesn’t care if people think she’s a bitch...Brooklyn is the type who would never change herself for anyone. She is also..admittedly...very self-centered...always looking out for number one...even if that means doing so at the expense of someone else. It’s....honestly a result of growing up the way she did...and though she’s never honestly seen it this way..Brooklyn had..what most people would deem...a bad childhood. Her mother worked two jobs (one illegal) to provide for her and her younger half-sister Kiasha...and even then..it was hard to make ends meet. So Brooklyn knows...what it’s like to really have to go hungry..to not be able to afford what you want or even what you need...and as a result, she’s always been..extremely protective over what’s hers..whether that be food..money...anything that belongs to her. She stashes her money in hidden nooks and crannies around her mom’s place where no one else can get at it, and she once slapped her half-sister for eating a small bag of Brooklyn’s chips. Maybe it’s sort of ironic that Brooklyn..who seems to have a constant phobia of people taking her shit, frequently steals things herself...from other people...stores...her job...whatever she can get her hands on anytime someone’s back is turned. And though this is one of many things that don’t bother her to do...there are things...that do get to her. Despite Brooklyn’s brutal honesty and no-holds-barred personality and way of living...there is a lot..that she keeps to herself that people don’t see. She can be...very moody...she doesn’t trust anyone..at all...and deals with her deepest emotions on her own. These..deep emotions..secrets...often manifest themselves as insomnia...and more times than she can count, Brooklyn’s stayed awake long into the night...unable to give in to sleep. There is a deeper reason for her insomnia..but I’ll get into that within her story. Sometimes when she can’t sleep at all....she’ll go out and just...lie up on the roof...just to think...to listen...there’s never a quiet moment in her neighborhood after all. There’s even been times she’s fallen asleep on the roof...with the sounds of arguments and gunshots in the distance. And then there are times when..she won’t sleep at all..but rather...leave the house...often looking for a someone. Brooklyn’s had her fair share of relationships..none of them really significant though...and she’s certainly no stranger to sex...especially given that that’s usually the main thing she likes in a relationship. She’s not...the type who’d ever want to just sit around and cuddle...if she’s in a relationship...she’s in it for intimacy. And because few of her relationships have ever really had any..depth to them...she doesn’t have an issue breaking up..it’s easy for her..and she’s the type who can put the past behind her and move on. A lot of Brooklyn’s life is living for the moment...she knows the past can’t change and she could be shot dead tomorrow...so to her, planning for the future...or anything really..is a waste...and she lives to enjoy the present in any way she can...relationships..hanging out with her friends...and how could I forget..performing. Brooklyn...has always had a love of music...of singing...of performing. As a little kid, she’d sing to songs on the radio and dance to the music videos on MTV and VH1...and since those days, performing has become..an outlet for her. There’s something about the emotion in singing...the escape of acting in another role....that’s...therapeutic for her...it’s something her heart is in..and something she really..truly loves to do. Brooklyn is...a natural performer...and an exceptional singer...though it isn’t until recently that she comes to find...that these gifts of hers..might well mean a road to something more for her...and bring her to the possibility of a life she never thought possible....

Personality: Ashlee is...very easygoing, friendly and warm in nature. She's quite social..loves her friends to pieces...and generally treats most everyone as a potential friend...she won't judge someone unless she finds good reason to do so. Ash is... really laid-back...not competitive at all lol..like for example if she were playing Wii or something with her cousin or her friends or her son....she's more than happy to let one of them win...losing doesn't bother or offend her...truthfully..she'd rather see someone else happy than earn a win for herself. And she's always happy to share in someone else's win anyways. :) She's always really positive...optimistic...and cooperative..and thus, has a sizable circle of friends...every one of whom she values and cares about. Her patience and compassion mean that...she's one of those people you can always come to with a problem or just...something you need to get off your chest...she'll always make herself available to listen and help out in any way she can...in other words, she 's a good listener...and has earned the trust of many of her friends. Personality: Natalia is an egotistical, loudmouthed, self-centered, arrogant, moody bitch...and generally behaves as though she's God's gift to mankind. She has a bloated ego and is the center of her own world...and acts as if she is the center of everyone else's as well. She's extremely prideful and will never admit to making a mistake...apologizing is practically painful for her...because to her, admitting a mistake equals weakness. In her 39 years of life, Natalia has only said one heartfelt apology, and that was to Damiano for all the time she'd cheated on him. On that note, its worth touching on that...Natalia is..well..a whore. Not really any other way to put it. She's had so many lovers and sex partners that even she can't name them all or even give an estimate as to how many she's been with. Like an animal that never goes out of heat..Nat loves sex like a fat kid loves cake....and with seven kids by four different guys, it would seem she has something to show for her promiscuity. Her self-control, or lack thereof, definetely leaves something to be desired. Nat's a godawful mother though...she's always been more or less indifferent to her kids..never cared where they were or what they were doing...blamed them for her problems...and would smack them around every now and again too if one of them did something to piss her off. She had an especially deep hatred for her daughter Kate...fueled by jealousy of Kate's youthful beauty and naturally sweet demeanor...it got to the point where Nat tried to kill her on two separate occasions. Natalia's fierce envy causes her to hate anyone she sees as 'competition', and many a time, she's set out to ruin such competition..with success. Natalia has a major attitude problem, a sharp tongue and a fiery temper, and won't hesitate to speak her mind and let people know exactly what she thinks of them....and with this downright meanness, its no wonder most of her in-laws can't stand her. Vindictive and spiteful...Nat's not a very forgiving person...and tends to hold grudges for long periods of time, if not indefinitely...she'll always look for ways to hurt those who cross her. Given all that...its reasonable to consider her a pretty mean-spirited individual...and...to a degree, its true...Nat looks out for number one and often takes pleasure in other people's misfortune. Its not all there is to her though...because...a lot of her behavior..is driven by nothing more than insecurity. After..what happened in her childhood, she never did find a way to...I guess release and cope with the pain in a constructive way..and instead...found that tearing others down and building an image of herself as this sexy, self-confident, proud type of person...helped her to protect her inner self...the one that, to this day, still deals with the pain of what happened. Damiano is..really the only one who's ever seen Natalia's inner self...seen her when she was truly..emotionally weak..so he knows there's more to her than the image she puts out...and he loves her for who she is. And for all Natalia's fierce independence and claims that she doesn't need anyone's help...she knows she needs Damiano...and she loves him as much and as deeply as he does her. <3

Fun Fact!: Natalia lost her virginity at the age of 9 to some kid she liked in her 4th grade class. When her mom found out about this, she sent Natalia, kicking and screaming, off to BIBLE CAMP (an event that pisses Natalia off to this day), although Nat was later sent home due to her 'behavior problems'. It seems even the Good Lord couldn't reform her. What a shame.

Personality Type: ISTP
Personality: Sergio is adventuresome, fast-paced, and all but completely fearless...like..literally, nothing scares or intimidates him...which probably makes him well suited to his job as a cop...even dealing with dangerous criminals doesn't bother him at all..he knows he can take them down ohoho yes. Going on that too, he thinks things through quickly and works well under pressure...which means he's.. really good in crisis situations...he never worries or panics...at all...and is good at getting his way out of..dangerous situations...he's smart like that. c: He's definetely confident...sometimes overly so..and its often that overconfidence and pride that gets the better of him. Sergio's like his mom in that respect...proud as hell..doesn't like taking orders from people...and likes to believe that his way is the right way...all the time. He dislikes taking orders from people...the only real exception to this is if its like..one of his superiors at the police station or someone of that standard....otherwise, probably not. Its like how he'd never listen to Damiano as a kid...in his mind..Damiano wasn't a father to him or a superior..he was just..Nat's boyfriend..and not someone Sergio ever saw as authority...which is probably why he and Damiano never had much of a father-son relationship. Its worth mentioning though that he's not nearly..as extreme in the pride respect as Natalia..like..while he may be confident and perpetually sure of himself, he's almost never arrogant...though there are plenty of times where he'd probably come across as such. Beating him in an argument is just about impossible and not only can he win one with ease..if he's set his mind on something...you can bet sure as hell he's not going to change it.....its like when Kate tried to convince him to forgive their father and whatnot..he just flat out refused and Kate knew there was no changing him..it'd be like trying to stop the tide. He's not afraid of conflict either...though while you won't see him starting fights, he won't hesitate to finish them. His strong will and confidence make him a natural leader and nothing less...and this, paired with his unmatched devotion to his police work and protecting those who need it, make him a natural at his job....throughout his life, there are even those who have looked to him as a hero of sorts. On a more personal level, Sergio is...something of a free-spirit...he doesn't like feeling tied down or held back...dislikes making really long-term commitments...which is why you'll likely never see him settle down and start a family...or even get married....he'd hate to be a father...and prefers being able to...you know..have some romantic freedom if you know what I mean. I guess that partly explains why he refuses to take up religion too...the idea of having his life ruled by some difficult set of commandments or standards of godliness...being told what he can and can't do...that just doesn't click with him at all..never has, never will. Being that he tends to make decisions based more on law and logic than thought and feelings...there are times when he can come off as..somewhat insensitive without honestly meaning to...its one of those traits that can be both good and bad...a double-edged sword I suppose. Despite that though...he can be sweet when it comes to..you know..relationships...making a really loyal and devoted boyfriend. Probably...the best example of this would be his relationship with Karen..he actually ended up saving her life on two occasions...risking his own to do so...although its worth saying that its not the first or last time he's put his life on the line for someone else..its just something that comes, once again, with his job. He's surprisingly patient too when dealing with people...which is another thing that helps him especially at his job...he's excellent at dealing with even the most uncooperative or just...weird..individuals...which probably came partially from having to cope with psychologically unstable people on a just-about daily basis. His confidence lends him a sort of charm..and he's more than good at making 'friends' and good impressions on people...Sergio has a wide circle of acquaintances, but few close friends...he doesn't fully trust anyone...at all...and always keeps his most deepest thoughts and feelings to himself..doesn't spill his guts to anyone lol. I mentioned that he..has a good deal of patience and it takes a LOT to make Sergio really mad or to make him snap...it rarely happens and generally he isn't inclined to hold grudges..although..once someone's really crossed him...he's capable of holding a deep hatred for them. The only time this has happened though is in the case of his father..he hates his dad...like..seriously..Sergio could look Karl in the eye, shoot him, and feel no remorse over it. Sad amirite? ):

She's like..a kid who has to get zapped three times by the same electrical outlet before they realize that messing around with it is a bad idea....there are a lot of things she's been through that, if she had learned from them..could have saved her a lot of pain. She hates being alone too...has a degree of seperation anxiety which means she can be really...really clingy, especially if she feels she's being abandoned or left alone....those kinds of feelings...hurt her like nothing else can..and you can bet that if left by herself for a long enough time...she'll eventually become depressed...most likely to the point of having to go back on meds. She's...naive in a sense....not quite innocent...but naive...and often seems to act more like a teenager than an adult with a career...not in an immature way..but its just more that...she has something of a youthful spirit. Being hated does bother Kate a lot though and she'll often go out of her way to prove herself to whoever it was that held the dislike of her...for example her mother..or Giada..to let them know she isn't all that bad and that she really is a nice person. Kate's prone to being somewhat sensitive...and will sometimes take things personally..though its extremely rare for her to go and be a bitch and snap on someone. When she does, she will almost ALWAYS feels guilty over it later on and will usually look for some way to apologize....she hates feeling like she's hurt someone....Kate is pretty much incapable of true meanness...and if she feels she's hurt someone, she'll go to great lengths to make it up to them and make sure they're happy again. As to herself, she gets over things quickly...no matter what the situation...she will always end up getting over it....she really can only stay mad for so long before she just ends up letting go of the problem because she CAN'T stay mad anymore lol. After her love affair with Damiano...she felt a kind of hurt/anger towards him for leaving her...but within the year, in her heart, she forgave him. Personality: Giovanni...is another one of my more complex characters....oddly similar to his relative Giancarlo in personality...which is probably why the two seem to have such a mutual respect for each other. Giancarlo is, truthfully, the only living person for whom Giovanni has any degree of respect for at all...the only one he would even think of taking orders from. Giovanni has quite the superiority complex...he's extremely proud to the point of sheer narcissism..seriously...he's practically in love with himself..and has a kind of arrogance like you would not believe....he thinks he's too good for everyone else, and that he's better than everyone else....pride in the extreme. He's also extremely self-centered...everything he does, he does for himself. As far as he's concerned, other people exist solely for his benefit...he's the type who has no trouble using people for his own pleasure or gain, and then getting rid of them...other people's hurt and misfortune doesn't bother him at all...in fact..it gives him a sense of pleasure..he enjoys other people's pain....probably making him borderline sadistic...or an asshole in the very least. He literally...lacks empathy and compassion..has never once felt sorry for anyone else a day in his life. He's good at covering all this up though...like if you met him...you wouldn't think there was anything not right about him. On the surface...he exudes a kind of prideful charm and confidence...and given his current high-society lifestyle....he easily portrays himself as a man of status and influence...and most that know him see him in that way. Of course...those closer to him..his siblings and especially his half-brother Sergio, have their doubts about how exactly Giovanni's made all his money and how he got to such a high-standing position..and suspicion would be right to have. He no doubt has a way with words..skilled at winning arguments...as well as trust...though trusting him...is never really a smart idea...Gio's a smooth liar and when dealing with him, its near impossible to distinguish lies from what little truth there may be....he's good at twisting the two. He is manipulative and thoroughly cunning...and this, coupled with a naturally gifted mind...means he can make for a dangerous enemy..and it is those who make the mistake of crossing him who often end up seeing his true cruelty. Cold-blooded and unforgiving, there is no limit to which he won't go to...punish someone who's crossed him...and he knows good and well how to carry out such punishments....which means being on his bad side...is a dangerous place to be. His characteristic under-eye scar serves as one reminder of that...a reminder of a man who'd fought with him and lost his life because of it...its a subtle piece of proof that Giovanni has no qualms about murder....in fact..its an all too important aspect of his own life...of what he does.

Its honestly hard to find fault with him in that respect because he'd honestly never say a bad thing about anyone...he likes to believe the best in people...and often sees good in people that they themselves may miss.
